...and now a summary on sports…
On Tuesday, September 27th the Sleepy Hollow girls varsity team hosted Hendrick Hudson. Strong play from Maggie Cusanelli in the middle of the field helped turn the game around. The girls were able to level the score midway through the second half when Grace Morgan played the ball centrally, finding Emma Cusanelli in front of the net. Although the game ended in a 1-1 tie, Hen Hud was on defense the entire second half and through both overtime periods. The horsemen back line, Natalie Smith, Hannah Derechin, Juliette Phillips, and Molly Greenholz, played a fantastic game again, giving up only three shots on goal, all from distance. Grace Hille made two important stops in goal to keep the opponents to just 1 goal. This tie brings the girls to a solid league record of 6-1-1. Come watch the girls play Thursday, September 29th at home on the WI field.
Then on Tuesday, September 27th the Varsity Tennis team dominated 4-1 match over Port Chester! The amazing Lena Frankstone, and Sara Clark swept the winning title for the single matches!!! The Hynes sisters, Amanda and Samantha over powered their team wearing no socks!!! And Marie Komorowski and Lily Centra over took their opponents with a 10 point tie breaker win. The Sleepy Hollow ladies have done an amazing job keeping up the pressure on the court! Congratulations to the ladies!! Their next match is against East Chester on Thursday, September 29th 4:30PM at East Chester :)
