...and now a summary on sports…
The Boys Varsity soccer team won its last regular season match against league rival Hendrick Hudson High School on Monday, October 17th. The final score was 1-0. The boys played very well on senior day. Sleepy dominated play and controlled the pace throughout the game. Hollow’s first goal was scored in the second half by senior striker Manuel Crespo. He was assisted by senior Anthony Auguirre. Sleepy should have scored more but could not capitalize on the moments where they attacked and pressured well. Man of the match definitely goes to senior goalkeeper and Captain Andrew Laub. He had an amazing game in goal with 9 saves which included two PK stops. Some other players who stood out for Hollow were senior fullbacks Ethan Wilens, David Friedman, John Mora and Alexis Zhunio. The next game for the boys will in all likelihood a home sectional playoff game on Wednesday, October 19th. Please come out to support them. The boy’s finished the season with a record of 7-5-4. Go Hollow!!
