The SHHS club fair is held today (10/21) in Lower East Hall, outside the high school cafeteria. Tables, club signs, and signup sheets will be available.

There is NO SHADE program after school on Tuesday (10/21) and Thursday (10/23) of this week. However, there WILL BE the Monday and Friday Drop-in Center. Also, the interns who will be working with the Pioneer team, practices will start on October 29th at 7:45 in the middle school gym. Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Swim team for another win against Eastchester. Senior Captain Taylor McClung did amazing in the 100 yard breaststroke. The girl’s final meet is on Wednesday against Tappan Zee and they go on to Championship meets after that. Good Luck Girls!
On Monday October 20th, Sleepy Hollow's Varsity field hockey played their last regular season game at Nanuet. Within th e first 10 minutes of the game, Hannah McCarthy was able to find the back of the net for Sleepy Hollow off of an assist from Gabby DelMonaco. A few minutes later, Kali D'Agostinis added another goal for the Lady Horseman, unassisted. Sleepy Hollow was able to hold the lead score for the first half. However, as the second half of the game went on, Nanuet was able to get 4 goals past Sleepy Hollow. The final score resulted in 4-2 Nanuet. Goalie Marissa Fortugno had 6 key saves for Sleepy Hollow. This was Varsity's last regular reason game, but the team looks to play again in the sectional playoffs sometime this week. The Lady Horseman had a great season and look forward to competing in post-season playoffs.
The Boys Varsity soccer team won its last regular season game of the year against Woodlands High School on Monday, October 20th with a score of 5-1. It was a good performance by the Sleepy Hollow players. The score at the end of the first half was 2-1. Senior Joey Galasso scored the first goal on an excellent pass from senior Brendan Murphy in the 1st minute of the game. The second goal was scored by senior captain Guillermo Maxi which was unassisted. Sleepy had many other scoring chances in the first half but couldn’t put them away. Sleepy continued to play well in the second half and scored three more goals. Maxi scored another goal which was scored on a great pass from sophmore Manuel Crespo. The final two goals were scored by senior Estaban Tarcon which were assisted by junior Vito Arpi and Maxi. Senior keeper Jose Deleg had another good game in net and finished with 6 saves. Some standout players for Sleepy were Maxi, Tarcon, senior captain Daniel Yawman, and sophomore Jason Loja. The team finished with a record of 5-8-3 and has qualified for sectional play. The next game for the boys will be on Thursday, October 23rd against a yet to be decided opponent. Go Sleepy Hollow!!
