On April 18th, the girls varsity lacrosse team had a huge win in over time against Keio Academy. The final score was 9-8. Sleepy got off to a slow start in the first half, so much so that they even found themselves trailing by five goals at one point. The girls' did not give up, they proceeded to tightened up the defense and patiently got their offense back on track. With less then three minutes left on the clock Marissa Furtugno tied the game, from that point the defense, lead by rookie goalie Hannah Lustyik, held off Keio's fast paced offense until the clock hit zero. The Lady Horsemen entered into over time with one player short due to a penalty, but that did not stop midfielder Taylor Burnett from winning the face off and getting the ball to midfielder Natalie Smith. With-in less then 10 seconds Natalie ripping a shot to the top left corner of the cage giving Sleepy the win!
