The JV Volleyball team defeated Beacon last night for its fourth victory of the season. The team was led by the tough serving of Leah Lamson-Lindsay, the solid passing of Kaitlyn Arevalo, and the strong net play of Kinga Orban. The team has won 3 of its last 4 matches and has shown tremendous improvement.
Reminder to all JV players, that we will meet for pizza and study hour in Mr. Choi room today after school.
The Boys Varsity soccer team won its fourth game of the year against Hendrik Hudson High School yesterday (9/28). The final score was 3-1. It was a great performance by the Sleepy Hollow players. Hollow’s first goal was scored in the second half by senior striker Isaiah Isaacson with an assist from senior Manuel Crespo. The next goal was scored from long range by senior captain Diego Arias who was assisted by senior Alexis Zhunio. The third goal of the game was again scored by striker Isaacson which was assisted again by Crespo to seal the win. Senior goalkeeper Andrew Laub had a great game in goal with 6 saves. Some other standout players for Sleepy were senior fullbacks Ethan Wilens, Michael Illescas, and David Friedman. In addition midfielders Jason Loja, Max Cover, Christian Sarris and Tony Ribeiro also had great games. The next game for the boys is an away game on Thursday, October 6th against league rivals Our Lady of Lourdes High School. The boy’s current record is 4-3-3. Go Hollow!!
