Attention All Students & Staff: The African American Culture Club will be hosting a Coins for Kids fundraiser this week to raise money for UNICEF. Tomorrow and Friday, there will be tables set up outside the student lounge and cafeteria during all lunch periods. All money raised will be donated to UNICEF's South Sudan campaign. The Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team is now 6 and 2, and they will visit Ardsley today (4/25).
Congratulations to the girls track team on their win against Lourdes high school yesterday. Grace Morgan placed first in the 100 high hurdles and the triple jump. Ella McGovern placed first in the 100 meter dash, Darlina Minaya placed 2nd and Jasmine Blanco placed third. Avery Schumacher placed first in the 400 meters and long jump. Virginia Ruhland-Mauhs placed 1st in the 1500 meters and 800 meters. The 400 meter relay team, Sarah Clayton, Jessie Cowles, Sophia Khosrowshahi and Jasmine Blanco placed 1st and the 1600 meter relay team, Avery Schumacher, Emma Sylves-Berry, Grace Luft- Morgan and Ella McGovern also placed 1st. Excellent Job by Ilona Zamdmer by placing first and receiving her personal best in the discus throw. Excellent job by all athletes. All the Horsemen worked hard and many received personal records.
On Monday, April 24th, the boys track team competed against Our Lady of Lourdes. Diego Rodriguez ran the fastest 100 for the Horsemen in 11.5 seconds. Jake Garcia was right behind in 11.9. Jake Garcia also won the long jump. Aaron Cember won the shot and discus throws. Chris Deleon won the high jump with a height of 5-6. Our next meet is Saturday, April 29th, at Clarkstown South.
