On Monday, September 15th, Sleepy Hollow’s Varsity Field Hockey played at Valhalla high school. The lady horseman played tough, resulting in a 0-0 score at half time. Sleepy’s goalie Marissa Fortugno had a great game, making crucial saves for the Horseman. She had 10 saves total for this game. The defense worked hard and the midfield and forwards dominated the field during both halves of the game for Sleepy Hollow. Unfortunately, Valhalla was able to find the back of the net with 7 minutes remaining in the game by hitting the ball high in the air. Sleepy Hollow played a good game, but came just shy of pulling away with a win yesterday. The team faces Bronxville on Wednesday, September 17th at 4:45.
