On Tuesday, October 28th, Sleepy Hollow’s Varsity field hockey played at Nanuet High School. This was a tough played game between the two teams. At the end of the first half, the Lady Horseman players were able to hold their own, down by only one goal. As the second half continued, however, Nanuet increased their intensity as they were able to find the back of the net three more times, resulting in a final score of 4-0 Nanuet. Sleepy Hollow’s goalie Marissa Fortugno had six crucial saves for the Horseman. The 2014 Fall field hockey season has been a great learning experience for Sleepy Hollow Varsity field hockey. The team was excited to make the first round of sectionals this year. We’re looking forward to another successful season next year.
