And Now For Sports…
On Thursday, September 11th, 2014, Sleepy Hollow's Varsity Field Hockey team played at Hastings High School. Sleepy Hollow played an aggressive first half, putting lots of pressure on Hastings' defense. Sleepy Hollow's Hannah McCarthy was able to find the back of the net after an assist from Gabby DelMonaco. Minutes later, Hastings replied with a goal themselves, ending the first half with a goal for their team as well. However, as the second half began, the Lady Horseman answered with another goal by Heather Colley, assisted by Gabby DelMonaco. The final score of the game was 2-1 Sleepy Hollow, adding another great win for the Lady Horseman. Sophomore goalie Marissa Fortugno had 8 saves for Sleepy Hollow. The team faces Valhalla away at 4:45 on Monday, September 15th.
