Congratulations to the girls varsity track team on their performances at yesterday’s track meet held at The Armory. All of the athletes did well and displayed great finishes. Special recognition to Sarah Clayton, Avery Schumacher and Sophie Sylves-Berry on their personal records in the 300 meter event. Congrats to Emma Basha, Kinga Orban and Sophie Sylves-Berry for breaking a 19’ shot put throw.
Congratulations to the boys track team. They competed in the Kickoff meet on Sunday, December 16th. Louis Kudla led the way for the sprinters placing our fastest times for the 55 and 300 meter dashes. Rosel Ferreiras and Dylan Smith rounded out our top three in the sprints. Ryan Lyppens broke his personal record in the 1000m, posting a time of 3:05. Abhi Weltig took 10 seconds off his personal best in the 1600 with an amazing race. He ran 5:15. Matt Silver led the throwers in the shot put with a 33-8 effort. Bryan Guerva was right behind him with a 31-4.5 effort. Our next meet is January 3rd at Rockland Community College. Come out and support the team.
