On Sunday, January 12th, the boys track team competed in the League 2C Championships. Danny Elia got things started with a win in the 55m Hurdles with Estaban Tarcan placing 2nd overall. Will Stallings, Dante Ellis and Manny Rosario went 1-3-5 in the 55m Dash. Danny Elia continued to dominate with a win in the 600m. Freshman standout, David Friedman placed 3rd in the 1000m run with Luke Colley placing 4th. Freshman Jonathan Gomez placed 4th overall in the 300. The Horsemen dominated the relays. The 4x800m relay team consisting of Luke Colley, David Friedman, Randy Perez, and Guillermo Maxi placed 3rd overall. The 4x400m relay team consisting of Nolan Sanford, Noah Gould, Estaban Tarcan, and Manny Rosario placed 1st overall. Finally, the 4x200 team which has been dominating all season continued to do so by crushing the competition and just missed our school record. The team of Will Stallings, Dante Ellis, Danny Chevere and Danny Elia has shown the section they are the ones to beat. The following athletes received All-League honors; Will Stallings, Dante Ellis, Danny Chevere, Danny Elia, Estaban Tarcan, Noah Gould, Manny Rosario and Nolan Sanford.

Any student interested in signing up for the American Math Competition (or AMC) on February 4th, please see Mr. Larkin in room 102W (Math/Science Office). All grade levels are welcome. You can put it on your resume and possibly earn a scholarship. The deadline to sign up is Friday, January 24th. Again, see Mr. Larkin to sign up for the American Math Competition and earn money for college.
