Briarcliff scored the first goal of the game, which was followed a minute later by a goal scored by Sleepy Hollow's Gabby Chebetar. Mid-fielders Cynthia Jimenez and Rebecca Diblasi did a great job of gaining control of the ball and executing passes to forwards Talia Hayes and Arielle Edber. The defense, including Cristina Pinho, Dejah Vandiver, Sofia Hantzaridis, and first-time goalie Alex Adofo did an excellent job of clearing the ball from the striking circle. Briarcliff scored the last goal of the game within the last minute, resulting in a final score of 2-1. The horsemen will play their next game at Pleasantville on Saturday, September 6th at 9:30am.
