The Complete applications to the National Honor Society must be in 319W or Mrs. Rosenwasser's mail box by noon on Monday, Sept. 25th. Applicants will submit a leadership statement, a signed, with two signatures, agreement to the NHS by laws, signatures from your guidance councelor certifying community service hours, and signatures from two faculty members attesting to your good character. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered for admission.

Attention all members of the Math Honor Society and Science Honor Society: We will have a very brief meeting afterschool on Monday, September 25th. You must see Mrs. Walsh or Mr. Choi ahead of time if you cannot attend. Please see the Google Classroom for other important info.
If you are interested in community service hours, the Warner Library could use your help. Student volunteers are needed: Friday, October 13th Saturday, October 14th ; Sunday, October 15th and Monday afternoon, October 16th. If you are interested in any shifts, please sign up in the main office.
Anyone interested in joining the Sleepy Hollow ski/snowboard club or the ski team, please sign up outside of 209W. If we have enough people interested in going to Killington we will plan a weekend trip in February or March. See Ms. Hickey with any questions.

The JV Volleyball team won it's second straight game of the season by defeating Nanuet two games to one. After dropping the first game 25 -21, the Horsemen looked as if they were on their way to defeat falling behind by five points in the second game. However, the players refused to lose and upped their focus and intensity. Led by the consistent serving of Maddy Navin and the leadership of the co-captains, Emma Briante and Tamia Dimmie, the Horsemen fought back for a 25-17 win. In the deciding game, again Sleepy Hollow feel behind early. Again, they showed their moxie and grit, refusing to go down without a fight. Eventually, the Horsemen tied the game at 13 apiece, and then, took the lead for good winning the game 25 -20. The team is currently 2-0 and will face Pearl River on Monday, September 25th.
Auditions for the High School Drama production will take place on Tuesday the 26th in the Band Room. This year's production is "The Curious Savage", a comedy about money, family, insanity, and more. Audition packets are available now outside Mr. Sprague's room.
Attention all students – Penny wars have started. Please do not put rolls of coins into the containers! They get stuck and we are unable to get them out to count. Please break them open and drop the coins in. Thank you!
