Which is healthier: two frozen waffles with
syrup, or oatmeal with fortified soy milk and a
banana? The oatmeal, soymilk, and banana give
you 300 calories and 11 grams of protein,
whereas the waffles and syrup give you 350
calories and only half as much protein. Plus, the
oatmeal will make you feel fuller longer. While
many people get too much protein, it is important
to have some, especially to start your day.

There is no practice for boys or girls varsity track today (5/6).

We need volunteers to be buddies for Spring Games at Brewster High School on Saturday, May 16th from 8:00 - 3:00. Bus transportation will be provided and you can get community service hours! If you’ve volunteered before, come back again! Sign up in the main office with Ms. Berry or 303 North with Ms. Kazmareck.
Tomorrow (5/7), immediately after-school all captains for all varsity teams, for the whole year, must meet in the new gym to vote on the Rookie of the year and Unsung Hero of the year for boys and girls. It will be a 15 minute meeting for your vote. If you can’t make it please contact coach Scarpulla for an opportunity to do so.

And Now For Sports Announcements:
On Tuesday, May 5th, the boys track team competed in the League Championships at Edgemont HS. Danny Elia got it started by winning the 110 High Hurdles in 15.0 seconds. A new personal best for him. He also won the 400 intermediate hurdles. Danny was selected to the All-League Track Team for his efforts. Wendall Brand had a huge day by winning the long and triple jumps. He won the long jump in 19 feet 2 inches and soared over 40 feet in the triple jump. He also placed 2nd in the high jump at a personal best 5 feet, 6 inches. Wendall was selected to the All-League Track Team for his efforts. Roger Bucci broke the 11th grade 800 meter record in 2:09.6 seconds. The boys 4x100 meter relay team placed 3rd in a time of 46.3 seconds. They were Esteban Tarcan, Pape Loum, Manny Davila and Jon Gomez. The boys 4x400 meter had a great day, holding off Bronxville for the win. The team consisted of Nolan Samford, Jon Gomez, Mark Jelenek and Danny Elia. They were selected to the All-League Track Team for their efforts. Our next meet is this Saturday, May 9th at Irvington HS. We will be competing in the Rasbeck Relays.
